The Digitising Maintenance Strategies product squad was created with the intention to solve problems relating to maintenance strategy creation, retention, and effectiveness at Woodside. In order to retain strategy knowledge over time, reduce unnecessary maintenance costs, and engrain a culture of ongoing strategy optimisation, the squad developed a digital product and service to identify, optimise, and improve maintenance strategies.
Business Result
Design and delivery of a maintenance strategy and reliability management system enabling engineers to access contextualised equipment information and address unoptimised maintenance activities. The system is forecasted to create $12.4M worth of recurring annual savings and has realised recurring annual savings of $1.34M to date.
Personal Contribution
- Applied product and service design skills to create a functional cloud native application and end user experience
- Hosted large user workshops to test and iterate product as well as attain real world maintenance optimisation, resulting in $10M AUD annualised recurring OPEX reduction to core operations
- Supported Client product owner with product management, release planning, customer acquisition, and product growth
